Description
This piece is a fun and melodic exploration of an unusual cross-rhythm - 13 against 21. The 13 forms melodic lines that are passed around the ensemble, while the 21, essentially 3 bars of 7/8 forms looping staccato accompaniments. Eventually the looping condenses and intensifies until all the oboes are sucked into a final vortex.
